In this session we will work with Apache Solr from the code of a custom module. We will start installing Apache Solr and the apachesolr module. Then we will create a custom module with a search form with fields to filter, adding new fields to the Apache Solr schema, working a bit with the Solr query syntax and we will learn how to use some of the hooks and functions of the Apache Solr API.
This session is oriented to developers. We will be working with code during the major part of the session. So I recommend to have some experience working with Drupal modules and knowing a bit about what is Apache Solr.
