Drupalcamp Spain 2011

Since the introduction of Google Maps, mapping has become a familiar task for most users. In this presentation, I'll show the state of art of mapping using the Drupal CMS and OpenLayers module suite to create user-friendly and powerful maps in a very short timeframe. This approach to mapping in Drupal relies of familiar building blocks: CCK and Views, and their integration with OpenLayers using concepts such as behaviors, styles and layers. A basic understanding of Views and CCK is necessary.

After this session, you will have a basic understanding of the state-of-the-art mapping tools for Drupal and how it can be practically implemented in your own site. The examples will be taken from a Drupal 6 installation, but most of this can be applied to Drupal 7 as well.
